It’s the New Year and there is a new ‘colour of the year’ to fall in love with.
At the end of last month, Pantone revealed their colour of the year: Living Coral.
Since 2000 the Pantone Colour Institute has announced a yearly colour. They do it as a trend observation rather than a forecast.

PANTONE 16-1546 Living Coral
Pantone describe this colour as an animating and life-affirming coral hue with a golden undertone that energizes and enlivens with a softer edge.
I absolutely love this colour, it is bright and vibrant but yet still has a warmth about it. This is a great colour if you are wanting to inject some colour into your interior without it being too bold.
Coral is a great for adding colourful accents to a space and you can really go no wrong with it. If you are feeling brave and creative you can transform Coral from being the accent colour to the main show, this colour would work great as a wall colour, you can then accessorise with neutrals and other complimentary colours to create the perfect space.
Be mindful that Pantone 16-1546 Living Coral does come in different shade within in the same family, so mix and match the different tones in the space to add depth and interest.
