I’M DREAMING OF A WHITE CHRISTMAS

WHITE CHRISTMAS -1

“I’m dreaming of a white Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know
Where the treetops glisten and children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow”

… Oh don’t mind me just singing away here …

Most people tend to follow a colour scheme at Christmas.

White has become a staple colour scheme for the festive season. If you are wanting a glamorous and luxurious feel to your decorations then white is the way to go.

Incorporate different textures with your white decorations, this is incredibly important as when only using one colour you run the risk of have a dull tree as the interest is in the texture. You can mix high shine baubles with ones with a matte finish, glitter finishes and fabric baubles all compliment each other.

Please, whatever you do, don’t get a white tree! Ultimately a real tree is the ideal one you want, however if you are like me and have a puppy that is interested in the tree its better to have an artificial one. If you are going to have an artificial tree go for a realistic looking one, if you want to incorporate white with the tree, get one of the ones with ‘snow’ on them, as the pure white ones are very tacky and no one wants that.

Mix the white baubles with clear glass ones. This way you aren’t introducing another colour to your tree, but you introducing a neutral finish so the white doesn’t become overwhelming.
